Digital Bangladesh to be emulated in the world: Mostafa Jabbar
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar has called upon the youth to make all possible efforts to take advantage of the opportunities of digitalization and build themselves as suitable human resources to meet the challenges of the digital age.
He made the call in a keynote address at the GP Explorers 2.0 graduation day hosted by Grameenphone online on Monday (November 15) at noon.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar said that 'Digital Age is a golden age for new generation' and 'Continuing Digital Bangladesh program, today's Bangladesh is exemplary in the world in economic, social or educational development'.
He said the government is committed to building a potentially large young population as a useful human resource in the digital age.
The Minister further said that the way in which the students graduating from Grameenphone's In-House Skill Academy have been able to build themselves will serve as a great foundation of life. This training has provided an opportunity to go from conventional to exceptional.
Speaking on the occasion, Grameenphone CEO Yasir Ajman said, "We need a competitive and digitally savvy young generation to keep up with the trend of innovation." On the other hand, young job seekers show special interest in developing the necessary skills in the workplace to adapt properly to these fields. In that case, Explorers will serve as a convenient platform for everyone.
BTRC Vice Chairman Subrata Roy Maitra and Grameenphone Corporate Affairs Officer Hossain Sadat also spoke on the occasion.
